Ivy Rockmore is a writer by way of Toronto and Texas. She lives between New York and Rhode Island. Her play, BI MEN, is forthcoming in print from 1319 Press.
She has been featured in The New York Times, VOGUE India, Texas Monthly, and The Advocate. Her work is concerned with the failure of the image, the performance of closeness, and desire as a means of accessing emotional registers that systems cannot sustain.
Her writing has been recognized by the John F. Tinker Foundation for First Amendment Rights and the Dallas Morning News, and she is the 2025 recipient of the Michael S. Harper Memorial Prize in Poetry. She studies Literary Arts and History of Art at Brown University.
